Once our client, always part of our family.
Once you choose E.M. Rose for your project, we will forever be responsible to you and for you. You will remain our first priority even after we finish your home. We will always prioritize your needs and the needs of your home as our way of saying thank you for the opportunity to work with you and the honor of being your builder.
E.M. Rose is a full service general contracting firm. We employ dozens of talented and dedicated craftsman in the carpentry, masonry and painting trades. We are not merely Construction Managers or "paper GC’s," as they are known in the insurance business. Instead, we are a general contracting firm capable of self-performing many trades as the demands of our projects dictate. This ability allows us to better control the quality and the schedule of our work and to always assure that the right person is handling each job.
While we build custom homes, additions and remodeling projects, we consider ourselves a service-based company, not product-based. Building a lasting relationship with our clients is our first priority—and our quality reflects our focus. We want you to allow us and expect us to live up to our continuing responsibility for the project we have executed for you. Our goal is to take care of our completed projects and your family, so that we may take responsibility for all of the decisions we made for you during your project.
E.M. Rose has a tested track record of taking over troubled projects. It is an unfortunate reality that residential projects are sometimes faced with a variety of challenges and obstacles that prevent them from being completed successfully by the original builder.
E.M. Rose has consistently been trusted to replace builders incapable of finishing what they started. We have the resources, experience and technical expertise to step in and take control of vendors and coordinate design professionals to complete a troubled project, all the while raising the standards of the construction to their highest level. We enjoy the challenge of assessing and evaluating a building in need of help—our reputation for turning around failed projects is unmatched.
When the construction of a project ends, the relationship with E.M. Rose does not. We don’t charge for warranty coverage and more importantly, we don’t have a time limit on our warranty.
We are known as one of the finest builders in the region, and as such, we have higher expectations for our buildings and ourselves than even you may. As general contractors, we make hundreds of decisions about how we will do things, how well our subcontractors will do their jobs and what kind of materials we will buy and accept to install into one of our homes. People don’t simply hire us because we build a beautiful project—we are hired because we recognize the importance of our role in how a project will turn out.
Once you move in, how well our building performs, how comfortable you are and how proud you are of your investment is the result not only of your architect’s great design, but of each of the choices we made in completing fulfilling that design. We want you to call us, we want to know when something breaks or fails to live up to expectations. Maybe it is a coincidence, maybe it isn’t. Most important, maybe you shouldn’t have to pay to fix it. We learn a great deal from each experience of taking care of our projects and our clients reap significant benefits from relying on us as the original builder to care for it, not only because we know best what is good for our building, but because you need us to make sure that the proper people are held responsible for things that don’t perform as expected.
Everyone has security monitoring, but have you ever wondered what the police or fire department will do after they realize a tree fell on your house or the washing machine broke and flooded the downstairs?
We ask our clients to allow us to be included in the list of people notified in case of an alarm. We don’t charge any fees, but when something needs to be done to secure your home and deal with the damage that may have occurred, we are there. Yes you will pay for the repairs, if any, but you may also find out that our company is responsible and our insurance will pay for repairs. There is no better way to be sure your house is cared for and you get the protection you deserve than allowing us to help monitor your home’s safety and security if anything goes wrong.
Houses we build are often complex and extensive in their systems and buildings. Who better to oversee all of the people needed to prepare for winter or open for spring? Allow us to make sure the plumber turns on water to the Poolhouse before the electrician turns the hot water heater back on or re-energizes pumps that have no water yet. Let us manage cleaning the gutters so that we can repair damage resulting from ice in the gutters.
How often has the handyman left something in disrepair simply because he or she didn’t know it was broken? We are the experts on your home—how things should look, how they should work and when they need repair or maintenance. That is why we ask that you allow us to oversee. We don’t charge for you to depend on us, we only charge you for work that needs to be done and we are there to make sure the right people do it whenever it is needed.
Our custom cabinetry shop is there for you whenever you need that certain custom made piece specifically for that certain place. Maybe your interior designer needs a small table for the corner and can’t find it anywhere else. Or maybe you want to add custom built-ins to one of the kid’s bedrooms.
Whether you have an idea, a napkin sketch or architectural drawings, our custom cabinetry shop follows the same standard of workmanship to create the highest quality millwork. In fact, our shop most likely made the gorgeous millwork you see throughout your house.
Call us anytime, our clients are always our first priority and we can make anything you can imagine your home needs.
Maybe you are looking for a change for your walls. Or maybe you would like to refine existing surfaces to take on a new life. Whatever your need, or wallpapering and faux painting teams are some of the absolute best in the region—that’s why many interior decorators and designers rely on us regularly.
Our talented and European-trained artists can make a switch plate or HVAC grille disappear, a recessed light look like mahogany and a steel basement door look like English Oak. We have done sports team’s logos and beach scenes in bedrooms, sky and clouds in the library and stone veneer on sheetrock to blend with the real stone on an adjacent wall. We can make your wood mantel look like the veined marble around the firebox or just make your Marvin window look like your butternut Kitchen Cabinets. We can even replicate your favorite Master Impressionist Masterpiece and make you a copy for that special place in your home.
Ask us to show you examples of what we have done for our clients and let us put the crowning touches on the beautiful home we helped build.
E.M. Rose has its own heavy equipment and site work operations. Do you have a garage building or garden shed you need torn down and removed? We can easily handle that for you—we are Class 2 demolition contractors. Maybe you need a house removed from the property you just bought before the new property tax bill arrives, we handle these projects for you and you will always be our first priority. You may have just bought a beautiful antique cupola—we can prepare you roof, fabricate your flashings and lift your cupola into place with our own crane for a fraction of the cost of normal crane operators. Or maybe your landscaper may need a large machine he doesn’t have access to in order to care for your property—tell him to call us, we will help in any way we can.
Why do we do this? As general contractors we seek pricing and hire subcontractors everyday for this type of work. We are forever shocked and amazed at the prices that excavation and sitework contractors charge. We want to control the scheduling and the costs for any of this work to better serve you, of course.
E.M. Rose has credit relationships around the world. Of course you do too, but because of our long-term and continued relationships with specialty vendors, ours provide significant and deep discounts for all types of unique and beautiful products for your home.
Why do we do this? Our vendors are a special breed of wholesaler and artisans with unique products, services and talents. We choose them for their quality, reputation and value and we want them to remain busy and successful which is good for them and it is great for all our future clients. By tapping into these resources through E.M. Rose, you enjoy the benefits of our reputation with these vendors while helping to reinforce our relationship with them benefiting our future clients.
E.M. Rose clients enjoy access to these relationships even after we have completed your home. Our credit accounts and our pricing are always available to you. We don’t charge for this benefit or markup the cost to you in any way. Just as we do during our construction projects, we pass on to you exactly what we are charged—no markup, no hidden fees. All you do is let us know when you are in the market and off you go. Prices are provided to you directly and you can even pay the vendor directly if you choose—the price paid to them is all you pay.
